My name is Sarah Young and I am the subject leader for Religious Education at our school. RE provides children with the knowledge that they need to develop an understanding of inclusivity and to develop a sense of community. It has a vital place in our ambitious curriculum.

At Cranham, we work hard to prepare children for their future and to raise aspirations. RE helps pupils to expand their cultural capital, giving them experiences and knowledge that is vital to them becoming well-rounded individuals who have a good understanding of others.

My favourite part of the school year is experiencing festivals with the children. These are always so enjoyable for everyone in school and make lasting memories for both children and their families.

We are proud of the enrichment opportunities that we offer in RE. These include visits to churches and mosques and celebrating Christmas through plays and singing.
