Well it is almost Christmas, what a long term where we are now on our 3rd Topic "Elf Yourself"
The children have been working hard doing lots of Maths, Science and have done some incredible writing and we have received the most amazing pieces of homework so a big thank you to you all for supporting us. The reading challenge has been going well too however some children aren't reading as much as we would like. We really do like to encourage as much reading as possible at home, just 5 minutes a day can make a huge difference.
We are still encouraging the children to get moving as much as possible, in addition to the many clubs we have available during lunchtime and after school we would like children to be walking or running around the track before the start of the school every morning and will be out on the playground early to monitor this...so let's get moving.
Children will need to have in school every day: a reading diary and book; a water bottle; packed lunch if required; a PE kit consisting of tshirt, shorts, pumps and joggers or jumper when the weather gets colder, earring tape for those with pierced ears. We like to encourage children to come into school independently and put their things away and to take responsibility for their own belongings so all items being named is a MUST.
TT Rockstars is working well with children constantly improving their scores please keep practising and Mums & Dads please test children randomly as many times as possible!! We have also sent home log in details and passwords for my maths- where you can do your homework.
Our PE days are Tuesday (outside) and Fridays which is gymnastics inside. When the weather gets colder you may want children to bring in tracksuit bottoms and a long sleeved top
